Service Options
Short-Term Counselling
Focused support for a specific issue or challenge, typically 6-12 sessions. This might include navigating a life transition, building coping strategies, working through a recent loss, or addressing a particular stressor. Short-term counselling offers structured support with clear goals and is ideal if you're looking for help with something specific rather than long-term exploration.
Ongoing Counselling
Open-ended support for deeper, long-term work. This is for people navigating complex patterns, ongoing struggles, or wanting space to explore identity, relationships, and healing at their own pace. Ongoing counselling allows for flexibility — sessions can be weekly, fortnightly, or adjusted as your needs change. This is where sustained growth and transformation happen over time.
Trauma-Informed Counselling (Safety & Stabilisation)
Trauma-informed counselling is about empowerment and choice. You're always in control of what we explore and how we work together. This relational support focuses on safety and regulation. If it feels right for you, it can include gentle somatic work, bringing awareness to bodily sensations and nervous system responses but this is completely optional and always at your pace. Using Internal Family Systems and Emotion-Focused Therapy, we create new experiences of safety in our therapeutic relationship, helping your brain and body learn that connection can be safe. This is foundational work: building stability, understanding patterns, and supporting healing without deep trauma processing or retraumatisation.
If you're looking for deeper trauma processing work (such as EMDR or intensive trauma therapy), I'm happy to provide referrals to practitioners who specialise in that area.
Grief, Neurodivergence & Chronic Illness Support
Tailored counselling for specific experiences and communities. This includes grief and loss support (death, non-death grief, anticipatory grief), neurodivergent-affirming care (unmasking, burnout, navigating neurotypical systems), and support for those living with chronic illness or disability. These sessions centre your lived experience and the unique challenges you face, without pathologising who you are.
Counselling Approaches
I draw on evidence-based modalities that are anti-oppressive, inclusive, neurodivergent-affirming, and culturally inclusive

As an anti-oppressive and non-pathologising counsellor, Liz believes your emotional responses make sense in the context of your lived experience.
